Hi, thanks so much!

I think it was the second time I saw the episode that I realized Dean had Rory's feet in his lap and that has always stuck with me!

Thanks for the comment!

Dean actually rubbed Rory's feet? I'm going to find a way to see that episode if it kills me!

It absolutely was! Look for the scene when they're at the dance and sitting at a table and Dean says, "So do you want to maybe go?" and Rory pulls her feet up out of his lap, and I think then you can see that they've been in his hands, her shoes are in her lap, saying, "You're bored, of course, lets go." And he explains that he just wants to spand some time alone with her.

*hee* Me Too!!!
"OK, so, this dancing thing is not something I want you to get used to or comment on."

There will be more, but unless something wild happens in the editing, the next chapter will be the last.

I don't hate Richard and Emily anonymous January 23 2009, 03:18:22 UTC
I pity them. They, like so many people born to their station in life, are blind to any way of life besides their own. Because they were taught that this was the way to live a civilized life, to be happy with something that they perceive to be less is beyond comprehension. Take into account that they love Rory more than anything.

This is my way of getting back at them for how they treated Dean in "Sadie, Sadie". Their behavior, Emily mocking Dean's well-meaning comment about the house, and then not wanting to let him in. And then Richard's refusal to shake Dean's hand, instead completely ignoring him. Denying Dean a second helping of Beefaroni, which was just petty. He grilled him, and them mocked his answers. Then he announced that Dean would drag Rory down, as if he wasn't even in the room.

They humiliated Dean for no reason at all. The reason Lorelai gave in defense of Richard was not good enough to excuse his behavior.

In other episodes I don't hate them either, but in that one they were just cruel.

True. They did go just a little too far. I wonder how Clara would have reacted to being around the Gilmores, because, at least to me, she always seemed to have a sort of hyperactive, almost Luna Lovegood type thing going on.

I don't know how much of an individual she was, but she did seem very outspoken and opinionated, and for that reason I'd have loved to see her confront the Gilmores too!
