Aw, That was just perfect! I love how well Dean & Lorelai knew each other. Dean remembering Lorelai's love of snow was the perfect touch. Also, Kudos to you for writing it with a supportive Rory. :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it! I thought even though Rory never did seem to stay connected to Dean, she was always fond of him, and once she saw how much Dean and Lorelai complimented each other, she'd be all for it.

This was lovely. I do think Lorilei appreciated Dean more than Rory did, and he did seem to really fit into their lives, knowing their habits and working around those habits. Plus the age difference never seemed to matter when it came to those two.
Beautifully writ. I love how Dean anticipated Lorelei's responses at every turn -- from the selection of the rings to the wedding -- and you captured everything in a perfect light.
I always had a problem with the way Rory treated Dean. While I didn't support his affair with her, I always thought Dean loved Rory so much more than Rory loved Dean. Richard and Emily were determined to break them up and Rory certainly didn't object too strenuously.
Again, thanks for writing this. I always wanted Dean to be happy. With your fic, he is!

I agree, I think Lorelai actualy hit it off with Dean as soon as he responded to 'The Talk' in a calm and mature manner, but still standing up for himself to her. It seems as if Rory took Dean more for granted, while Lorelai was more appreciative of him.

You are so right that Dean loved Rory, more than Rory loved Dean! It almost seemed like Dean was addicted to her. No matter how much she hurt him, he always went back to her if given the slightest chance. Yet almost anything would pull her attention and commitment away from him.

I'm really happy you liked this, and I'm so grateful that you took the time to leave me a comment! I've been thinking of writing another Dean/Lorelai, maybe a sequel to this, with the baby. You've inspired me!

I bet Rory would start calling Dean "Daddy" just to annoy him, the way Lorelai kept calling Luke "Duke" when they first met.

I can only imagine:

Dean and Lorelai are in the living room. Rory and Dean having playing the "Daddy/Daughter" game to annoy Lorelai, and Rory comes in and sits on Dean's lap.

Rory: Daddy, will you tell me a bedtime story before you tuck me in?

Dean: Sure, honey. Once upon a time -

Lorelai: Oh for Pete's sake, you two!
