Thank you! I hope you're feeling better now! Rory and Dean are mostly apart while Dean is in the hospital but there may be one more scene. I'm still re-editing the last chapters of the story.

Well there you go. It was better after I'd seen him call April that, in an episode which I swear I know nothing about when I wrote this!

Did he and April's mom get into a custody battle at some point?

Yes they did, in the 6th or 7th season. I think they ended up with shared custody, but I'm not sure. I haven't seen most of the 6th and 7th season episodes.
