I know thats the way of life but I still think that it is shitty when a fellow co-worker tells you to stay behind so everyone else can go to lunch together....everyone in the office went to lunch while I am asked to remain here in the office to man the phones

Yeah I don't think you want to work there full time if the employees are that bitchy to you. Not a good working environment.
