It's before Noon here at the office of Lapham's Quarterly, and already, Kurt Vonnegut has left a message telling Lewis how much he enjoys his newest book; and - I'm not kidding - the President of Iran's press secretary invited Lewis to a breakfast with Mr. Ahmadinejad at the United Nations next Wednesday.

I'm officially an intern, but I basically do all the same stuff everyone else does. Research and editing at this point. But I'll be working on a web presence soon. And I like to think that sometimes my brilliant ideas and insightful suggestions are considered. And I sometimes go out with Lewis for drinks or to "book parties."
