More on school reading lists

Annie Holmquist over at BetterEd.org did a comparison of a 1908 recommended reading list for middle schoolers to a modern recommended reading list for middle schoolers. She was looking at the idea of modern curricula being dumbed down, but me, I'm kind of looking at the historical list as a source of recommended reading for myself
