I think everyone should copy/paste this into their journal. If they want to. But they should:

I solemnly swear that I will never again (if I ever have) fill out any redundant surveys or post the results of any quizzes in my journal. These things are a scourge on the face of the Internet. Maybe if everyone posts this message, we can stop this

Under normal circumstances, I would readily copy and paste this, as I've been thinking of swearing off surveys for quite some time.

However. I have three other windows open, all showing LJ posts with surveys and memes I was going to do myself in about 20 minutes and post in my journal.

Sigh.

I think we should start a support group. Going cold turkey on survey posting might be a little difficult, for me at least.
