I am in perfect agreement with you on this one. A new WPA would be a great start.

And honestly, with some of the tech stuff that I know about, you could put together a subdivision in a month. And I know there's better stuff out there than I know about.

FDR wasn't as cool as the Indian-murderer? Bugger!

"Civilised man can only keep the peace by subduing his barbarian neighbour."

I guess that explains that. And the Philippines.

And I'm guessing that explains him being the only sitting President ever to win the Nobel Peace prize. Also, he never killed any indians.

I'm not saying that he was perfect, but he is my hero.

George Bush was nominated for the Nobel, too. It's not exactly a moral yardstick. I'm not trying to needlessly crap on your hero, but you could do a lot better than a white supremacist. His words, not mine.

Nomination =/= winning.

I've read it. I've read most of his stuff. In actuality, I don't think he was a white supremacist. True, he didn't have a lot of respect for the Amerinds. However, he was on some level a bit of a meathead. He felt like a man, or a race, had to be able to stand up for themselves, and he didn't feel the Indians could. Also, in American culture, he saw progress on the world stage. He felt like Indians claiming their land stodd in the way of this progress, and nothing should ever stand in the way of progress.

Also, in his private correspondence, he favors the Japanese in the Russo-Japanese war because they were beating the crap out of Russia. A strange position for a white supremacist to hold. He also invited the first black man to dine at the White House and took a lot of political crap over it.
