I have seen many a campus Jesus. OH OH OH!!!! Remember hot Campus Jesus from ECC that played his guitar in the lobby and hung out with my friend Andy Davis? He was part of the "What Would Jesus Do?" musically talented freak God Squad that hogged the adjustable couches in the theatre lobby? He was a hot campus Jesus. I went over to his house last fall. He's married now, and doing some peace corpsish type of work down in Nicaragua. Good for him. Pity for the single female population. Not that I'd have chased a bible beater or clamored for his affections.... or maybe I would have. Oh well.. I can't even remember his name. I wish your Tuesdays were free, because come warmer weather I would like to head out to Johnson Shut-Ins and Elephant Rocks again. Ithink I'm going to go post about these places in my journal... hmmph.

the biblical babe you speak of is joe marocco (sounds like the ever so romantic northern african country). and he is probably doing some good ol' christian work down south, also known as whitinization (and i'm not talking about the tingly toothpaste action that dissolves evidence of coffee and nicotine). i believe in doing good, but it's a fine line b/w colonization (feeding starving, down and out natives the gospel and discouraging their own "devilish" ways) and actually helping a community rebuild itself, without jeopardizing its age-old culture (older than the new testament itself).
