OH my gosh L, it sounds like you've been through the ringer. I'm glad you finally got a diagnosis and have made changes that have made you feel better.
((((((((NODS)))))))) I look at labels and buy local vendor organics which do not allow it My BIL makes fun of me.....but that's his problem They also sneer at me about using supplements but that is okay too.......
Eating organic is more expensive, but we're talking about our bodies and we should be more mindful of what we consume on a daily bases. Just because such chemicals levels are considered acceptable by the gov't doesn't mean after years of consumption they do not have an impact. I work at on Organic Food co-op and we work hard to make such food affordable and available for the community.
In the spring & summer, after almost a year of frequent pain and a nasty visit to the emergency department, I was eventually told I could have my gallbladder taken out "if I wanted." I was given admission forms and told to fill them out if I chose to have surgery. I was told it would likely have to be open surgery (not laparoscopic)and there was no guarantee the pain would be gone completely.
As it turned out, it would have been done around Fan Expo time and I much preferred the idea of the latter. Surgery versus taking pics of Joe Flanigan and Amanda Tapping? That was an easy decision. I switched to as much organic fruit and vegetables as possible - (I was already a vegetarian) and that was the last gallbladder episode I had. It also helped a bit with chronic migraines.
I have agood sized backyard and am trying to work out how much it would cost to have someone build raised beds so I can do organic vegetable gardening (I used to do a little of that years ago).
