Hardrock says (after dealing with lots of these things while he worked at M$) to get a Dell and avoid Toshiba like the plague. He will also help you if you want to borrow him when it comes shopping time - or help you hunt down a good used one, whatever you like.

Me, I defer to him on this stuff :-)

Thanks... tell Hardrock that i am basically looking for "Tard proof" as I to defer to others when it comes to things that have plugs.
