Well, happy new year to all. We are back home after taking a quick spin through the country - dodging blizzards and picking up head colds. We traveled out into what we like to call 'humid land' where we spent part of the trip in Fl with my family, and then traveled up to Mi to see guru's family.   1. I had in mind something like the sybils (sp?) of greek culture -- hermit / prophets who hung out on the fringes of society. One of the irksome things for me was that the Jedi Council and the Imperial Senate seemed sometimes to be at cross purposes. I never got the sense that anyone was particularly in charge -- either the Chancellor or the head of the Council -- nor that any of their constituent members had any sort of power apart from griping.
  2. Yeah. It was just waaaaaay too easy to kill off Jedi. I had some hopes in the first movie -- Qui-Quon went down fighting in a three-man duel that took something like 15 minutes. Everyone else? Cut-scenes.
  3. Apart from the hand they never relly did anything with this. I too was expecting the mechanical bits to accrue over time due to his recklessness. Like that speeder / air chase -- it would have been great if he'd shattered a leg or something. I mean, he *still* "wins" his chase or whatever, but at a great cost -- and it's that recklessness that's suborned by the emperor, not his ( ... )
