[personality] When Naoto is first introduced in May, she comes off as stuffy, stubborn, overly tidy, and way too serious (maybe even suffering from Napoleon Complex. Have you seen her shoes?). The reasoning for this goes back to just exactly how she was raised under her grandfather and his secretary's care after her parents' untimely death. Inept at making friends, Naoto buried her head into detective novels and began to basically train herself into becoming her ideal image of a hard-boiled detective as to follow in her family's footsteps. This included changing her appearance, personality, and demeanor into that of someone twenty years her senior. However, doing this spoiled her, keeping her from getting along with people in public settings both young and old. Worse, due to her young age, she wasn't accepted by other detectives or police departments. Her gender only earned her more scorn in the still male-oriented occupation which caused her to loath her own birth gender.
After dealing with her Shadow self, the Investigation Team gradually becomes her first real group of friends and also the major reason she begins to change. While it’s nothing major at first, she does begin to smile and have fun in their company, but also becomes easily unnerved or embarrassed when they try to make her do more girly activities. It’s dually noted she is self-conscious about her body, dropping out of a beauty pageant because of the swimsuit portion and shredding her physical exam results to keep her bust size a secret.
During her social link, she gradually learns to open up and to remain passionate about her job which allows Sukuna-Hikona to become Yamato-Takeru. She still (by habit now) acts like a boy, speaking with a deeper pitch and referring to herself in masculine pronouns (Boku), but her voice becomes higher when frustrated, flustered, or just knocked out of her comfort zone. Overall, she’s a very strong-willed and sometimes stubborn person who's loyal to her allies. (She's lawful good all the way)
[orientation] Mostly hetero (She can become a lover to the Main Character after all), but if clammed up or made nervous, any gender can get away with it (she was felt up by three other girls in a hot spring).

• Widely speculated by fanon (and head canon) is that Naoto wears a Sarashi or chest wrappings. Also speculated is that she has the biggest breast size out of the girls in the Investigation Team.
• Naoto's handy when it comes to mechanics. Canonly, she made a fake knife radio and a light-up police badge when she was a kid.
• She has a vast knowledge in firearms, the revolver being her specialty and main weapon of choice.
• It's uncertain, but head canonly, I believe Naoto's hat is something of an heirloom passed down in her family. When her father died, her grampa gave her the hat as comfort. This lead soon to her wanting to wear the hat proudly and properly as the next Detective in the family line. If it could not be burned please since it's more an accessory than clothing?

It was bizarre to even consider she was becoming accustomed to this change in lifestyle. Sure, Ukiyo was the Red-Light District, but it wasn't so terrible. Nothing was ever going to make her comfortable in this yukata, but most of the people she had spoken to were not interested in seeing what was underneath. Still, there was one thing she was dreading: her eighteenth birthday.
Naoto was a virgin for all obvious reasons and not interested in losing it to anyone. However, her birthday was in the record books along with her present age. The household would know just when she turned eighteen and she was expected to be auctioned off. This wasn't something she was allowed to fight either. There was only one way out of it.
Parting her yukata, Naoto gazed down at the tattoo branded on her left hip. It was no where near ready to bloom and at this rate, one year would be up before the her contract was even close to being fulfilled. Somehow, she would have to fix it. There had to be a way to repay her debt sooner. For now, Naoto just sighed and blew out her candle to retire for the evening.
