I'm always afraid something like that would happen to mine, so I normally park in the lined-off areas across from the handicap spots. I've never been ticketed for it (knocks on wood). I know I'd be HIGHLY upset if I walked out to see my bike laying on its side.

I'm ASSuming you made it home, so you can still shift gears and use the bike if needed?
