I learned that Barack Obama's great grandfather was named Ralph Waldo Emerson Dunham. How great is that? It's funny how "American" his biography is considering that his detractors try to paint him as an unpatriotic, exotic outsider. It's just that he's American in such a non-apple-pie vein. And I guess that's foreign enough.

I just read that article on the airplane last night. I hope it's true and not just wishful thinking.

What's it like in Flordia? Are people upset about the DNC punishing the state?

People are not as upset as they should be. I think that Florida's "punishment" won't meet with too much local resistance because Floridians, overall, are politically complacent. Not a whole lot here or here (those are the only two state newspapers worth reading, but don't confuse my statement as a glowing endorsement), but at least the latter mentions something to do with the election on its homepage.

How's trix?
