Bangkok is polluted, crowded, full of different odours and people desperate to sell you whatever theyve got to sell. Bangkok is full of people who have nowhere to go, people who are so desperate to survive that they are selling their bodies with the cheapest possible price. The rich and the poor meddle. sometimes it seems like the whole fuckin' world is like that -- not to appear as a cynic (I know, the spelling looks wrong but that's life :), however I didn't get to this age without a bit of skepticism regarding the world, it's religion(s) and all the rest of the baggage -- not to appear as a 'tree hugger' but I'm thinking Emerson was right

Yeah, I do that often...but then I think of all those people who are fighting despite of other people telling them that they are doing it in vain and I have to say I'd rather be a treehugger than someone who has lost their faith in this world.:D

whoops! I think I've mispoken -- I don't want to be labled (you could probably gather that from my profile, if not from my postings)... but I guess I would rather be thought of as 'tree hugger' than not -- I feel that it's important to protect what we have left of the earth -- I'm currently living in 'suburban Detroit' (which probably doesn't sound 'tree huggerish') but I also have a small (4 acre) place in western MA with a handbuilt cabin (I mean really, as in no power tools), no running water (dug well), no electric (hmm, well, I do have about 600 watts of solar) and last year I hooked up to the phone company -- but it's still pretty 'out in the woodsy'

I hope this doesn't sound negative -- it was not my intention -- just found time on my hands and wanted to tell you something about me :)

Are you on holiday?

We have a friend who lived in California all of his life but vacationed in Thailand for many years.
Two years ago he sold everything he owned and moved there. And he loves it.
