What is it about you that lights my fire
and fans the flame to a searing desire.
It keeps me coming back to your shore
feverish and wanting, begging for more.
My strength and conviction run off to play
whenever I see you glance my way,
And though I know my longing makes me a fool,
I don't mind, for I am a fool for you.

Maybe this girl He prefers doesn't want Him to like Her. Maybe She wants Him to like You instead of Her. Maybe she wants Him to just leave Her alone and move on with His life... I'm just saying You shouldn't hate Her for His decisions. I mean, do you even know where She stands on the entire matter? Maybe He would make Her a lot happier if He would just move on and like You.
Sorry, it's just another point of reference. I just don't want anyone getting blamed for this mess. I'm sure it isnt' Her fault. Anywho, good luck!

You are assuming that I hate the other girl, but that's incorrect. I can't just hate another person without them doing something to merit my hate. I do not know this other girl, and I will not hate her because she is loved. In fact, what I have come to know about her leads me to believe that this guy doesn't have bad taste in chicks ;) He obviously likes strong women :) I think I have a pretty good idea on where she stands in the matter, though I wouldn't mind having my ideas verified...
I don't think anyone can be blamed for this predicament. It's not a matter of someone wronging someone else, it's a matter of feelings...which are very hard to control. I hope that the woman who has his love knows that I don't hate her, I envy her, and that she realizes that she is deserving of his and everyone else's love as well.
