 Okay, first of all, since the last post here was January, I have no idea if this community is still running or not (I just found it and joined).  So I guess that's my first question--and if nobody replies, I'll know the answer

This community has never been very active, so I guess it's "running" at the same pace it always has. Piratica is a very very tiny fandom. Excruciatingly miniscule.

I'm really dying to read Piratica III, since II was kind of a cliffie, but haven't been able to get my hands on it stateside. From what I hear it was only published in the UK for now?

I've been waiting for #3 for AGES now and I was all ready to grab it last September, but it's really really hard to find. And I'm also pretty much broke, so it's been hard. But I'm trying to get it through my library system, that's how I got the first two :)

Also, if you were emailed my last comment, ignore it. Allergies have addled my brain.

Yeah, I'd heard about it too!! Unfortunately, I've yet to even read Numero Deux. *pouts* Ah well. Hope you get it though, since its likely good. Tanith Lee is made of awesome, after all!

Yay! I'm so glad to know people are actually here! Piratica deserves a bigger fandom. ;)

Yeah, based on what I read from what other people thought of it...Piratica 3 wasn't that good. But it would be nice if it was actually in this country so I could find out for myself.

I've actually been thinking about writing some Piratica fanfic lately--we'll see what my idea-producing machine (i.e. my brain) comes up with.
