i rmb watching 还珠格格 back in 98 when i was 6. at the time only half understanding the plot. i rmb the hunting scene but didnt rmb her streetlife before she was in the palace. this definitely gives me a lot of memories lol, since i was living in asia at the time and omg i didnt even BELIEVE that a fic like this could sprout up one day. its not due to the wuxia theme or even the au thats base off this story which had me squealing, but just the plain fact that someone writes it in english (personally it feels weird to read wuxia in a latin based language).

youre doing a fab job. snippets of the series flash in my mind and i cant wait to see how youre gonna write the rest out, since the original series is LONG and ye im doubting youd actually follow each episode one for one thru this fic haha.

I started rewatching the original series while writing this, and it's still equally amusing as the first time I watched it! The original show was the perfect mix of wuxia, comedy, and romance! ;A;
