i havent read it all yet, but thank you for this line::

“I don’t think people can change completely, Lu Han.” Minseok grabs Lu Han’s hands. “We’re not made to be unhappy. You’re not made to be unhappy. I don’t think you realize how many people you inspire just by being yourself. I’ve always, always admired you.”

(maybe this is a bit persona to be putting here, but other than that one part, i really needed the reminder of a memory of the other parts of that line too <3)

forgive me for not having read to the end?

so now that i'm not in class, and i had a walk home (and an email to my prof kadsjgkldsjdsg) to mull over this, i want to say, first of all, that you were silly for worrying that it wasn't poignant enough, elegant enough. i also think, you didn't need to worry about, well, that. perhaps it's my own (our own) tendency to project upon what i (we, a general we) read, but i really appreciated the quiet...acceptance? movement? point a to b? sadness is not always weariness, and weariness does not always translate to sadness....or something like that.

ANYWAY to make this less a waste of space, let me do some quoting!

It reminds Lu Han of the nurse who had tested his blood for alcohol content. Even worse than the x-rays had been Minseok’s silence when Lu Han’s blood work came back to be absolutely normal.

Lu Han knows there are battles he cannot win, words he cannot say, and songs he cannot sing. ;~~~~~;

HIS HAIR IS ONLY CURLY FOR ONE DAY OKAY. Victoria was one of my favorite characters to write, along with Minseok 8) COME VISIT ME AND I'LL FEED YOU ALL THE ZHAJIANMIAN.

there is so much I can say about this fic but ugh I'm in love. The way Lu Han's struggle with depression comes out in little details, written into his story in a way that we don't need to be told straight out, it's already there, being felt as we go. I love the role each of the people in Lu Han's life play, even though they might not know how they're tied in. Your writing style works with this plot so well, it's perfect, your choice of words and structure and everything gahhh. ALSO MINSEOK. and also happy sigh at the ending. waaaah. I'm the one who's gonna go hide ok bye chiha.

Oh my god this is amazing. I'll rec' anything you write! I love the transition of Lu Han's coming to terms that he needed help and the slow move between animosity he's feeling towards Kris to something respectable, something awkward and then love. I also love the little metaphors you used to described Lu Han's thinking. And for whatever reason I think Kris as life coach really works well. A fan account did say something about him liking to read self-help books and his personality really shines here--- I'm actually glad I got to read this.

And the part about the riff between Yixing and Lu Han ;__; god that probably was the first sign Lu Han started becoming depressed. And I'm sure Yixing probably missed him.

ASDFGHJKL I love the slice-of-life feel this story gives off. <3 And Minseok is one precious friend. ;_;

Minseok was one of my favorite characters to write!! I'm glad the fic flowed for you. At times, I wasn't sure if certain conclusions were too much of a jump. Thank you for reading!
