Am I the only one getting tired of people explaining in great detail (and with no little amount of superiority) how they are ever so interested in the artistic side of Equus and would totally be going to see the play gazillion times no matter who was acting in it and no one else even knew that it was being put on?

No one on my f'list has done this. My f'list is remarkably unpretentious though. They're the real deal. : )

I couldn't give a rat's arse about artistic fingz. I just wanna see Dan's cock ... and possibly I'll even enjoy his acting skillz and the play because the play is indeed awesome. But if Dan Rad's cock wasn't in it then I'd never fork out that much cash because I wouldn't even know it was on :p.

Haha. That's what I'm thinking. I like the play, I like the director etc. but I totes wouldn't be flying over the big blue sea to see it if it wasn't Dan Radcliffe.

I'm not sure about the cock factor though ;) I think I would have flown over even if there was no cock, but I'm not completely sure, since Dan Radcliffe has never starred in his first play without going starkers :p

Well, I'm also getting a little tired of the people going OMG EW everyone seeing this play is a pervert, and I kind of understand the need to defend oneself in the face of that. I think if that would stop (and coming from folks who are all about the slash and smut, I find it really awfully judgmental...) then what you're seeing would, too. I'm aware of at least two people who have been fending off nasty off-LJ emails about their total sickness for being excited about the play.

It'll die off in a few days, and probably do so faster if folks don't perpetuate the whole thing by making posts about it.

Well, there you are - this might just be a case of flists overlapping in a unpredictable way. I haven't seen a single OMG EW post, but several OMG TEH ART posts. Which obviously skews my view of things.

I am going to see the play because of Dan Rad. The end. I'd have gone to see his debut theatre performance anyway, whatever the play. The fact that he will be naked is an added bonus.

Yup, me too :D

I probably would have gone to see it while living in London, even if he hadn't been in it, but Dan is the one bringing me over the big blue ocean :p
