Okay, why are almost all the D/s fics in this fandom utter crap? There are good BDSM fics, certainly, but the ones focusing on Master/slave action? 90% terrible.

But the good ones are so good, so fulfilling and so delightful that I cannot help but weep for all the good D/s fic that isn't being written

I agree with you. I've found very little BDSM that doesn't make me cringe. I still have a Neville/Draco one that I've more or less given up on, but Oh it was So Good. With the spanking and the Neville Being In Charge and Still Neville and Draco Being Bottomy and Still Draco. Alas.

But you mentioned reading good ones and if you could link me up I would just... fawn over you excessively. *cute grin*

Personally D/s isn't really my thing probably because I have come across so few well-written fics.

As for a prompt...Um...Veela!Draco being tamed by Harry(Much spanking and hugs should be involved)? I've never read a serious D/s story that doesn't have Draco all womanlike because if they really were mated for life I'm not sure Harry would take it all that well if Draco was whiny.

Thank heavens someone else has noticed this, too. I came over to HP from the Buffy fandom, where marvelous D/s fics are in abundant, and after a few months of searching was like "WTF?!"

This is a huge fandom. How is it possible that nearly all D/s is such crap? Hurt and bondage as a part of sex, sure. But Master and slave? There are so few there could as well be none. Please, rec us the ones you've found :)

Prompt.. Top!Draco? If good D/s is hard to come by, so is him. Usually it's all whining and snits. I want to see a Draco that's confident and in charge of his life, for a change.
