the company that i work for now (a temp place in NYC) does their paychecks through HSBC bank.

i picked up a paycheck today and went to HSBC to try and get it cashed, whereupon i was informed that 'they don't do that anymore.'

what is that about? is a bank allowed to not cash checks from its own self?

bah. i didn't know they were notoriously shady. boo to them even more.

i am generally pretty well. new york is fun, but i'll be back in pittsburgh again soon. :)
