Culture Shock_Episode 2_Job Hunting and salary difference

I have started to look for a job. My CV has been sent to around 6 companies and I am waiting for their call. I've had 2 interviews, with CW as a senior tech, and Telecom division as an engineer. The pay is incredibly low. Basic salaries are SR4200 and SR4400 per month respectively. SR = Seychelles Rupees, AU$ = Australian Dollar, and AU$1 = SR4.

After tax $40k is just under $2500 a month. And renting an apartment here will set you back about half that.
