So the new job is pretty cool.  It's moving a lot faster than I had anticipated, which is good and bad.  I am still making mistakes, (which is normal, who wouldn't in their 3rd week?) but they are giving me my own shift starting Friday.  This shows that my boss has a LOT of confidence in me, which is so wonderful and reassuring, but is also a lot

I miss you! Here I am in Santa Barbara and it's...not as apocalyptic socially as I'd feared, but it's kinda weird to be back here nonetheless. I think the weirdest part is just living in my mom's house (well, not even my mom's house...Jim's house). Hard to define a space for myself.

Anyway, good to read from you. I lost my cell phone, which sucks. I dunno. Maybe not. So my home phone is (805) 967-6970, for the meantime.

Aww, smooches to you too baby. I think I have a little understanding of how you feel at Jim's house. No matter how cool he is and stuff, it is hard to find a place that's really home when it's someone else's house.

Zoey bought me this book of the trails all around Santa Cruz, San Mateo, and Santa Clara counties. We should, you know, hike all of them. (They're rarely more than 10 miles, it seems). Pack a lunch, go for a stroll, you know?
