Oh the craziness

So due to health reason mainly allergies I'm withdrawing from my classes for a while. There are so my smells my body is deeming alien like smelly shampoos that it's making sitting in a small computer lab with people who love scents a big issue. Our classroom has a no-scents policy, but it's still no good really. There's only so much you can do ( Read more... )

Don't expect to get gauge, really all knitters knit at different tensions plus if you are subbing the yarn and have different needles than the one that the designer made you will always go up or down a size or two. Plus gauge swatches can lie badly, ask Yarn Harlot! It's ways a good idea to measure your gauge on the actual item you are knitting as well.

I'm knitting the Central Park Hoodie. I had to go down a needle size to get gauge and I'm still pretty good. What are you knitting?

As for taking the VI program courses via correspondence there is only one course available right now that way it is the course that I've just completed meh! All the computer courses are self-paced so eventually they will be available that way. The ones I'm taking are especially designed for people with visual impairment and the computers at school have all the expensive technology on them. My trial of ZoomText 9.1 is expiring, so I have to purchase it for my computer at home it's $595. Well at least I won't have to pay tuition for a bit :-)

I have another sinus infection...I am sick of this! As soon as we get moved, I'm going to find a doctor to help me with this problem!

Oh honey I totally understand how you feel! Oi hope that it clears up fast. I tend to get sinus infections a lot, but I've been lucky so far this year. Getting a professional in to help with this problem is a good idea. You're moving...where are you moving to? Any place better on allergies?

Oh, that is such a drag! I hope you'll be able to go back soon (whether to regular classes or to correspondence, as addressed in the comments above).

Do you think you are getting more sensitive, or are your classmates using particular strongly scented products?
