It was a Wednesday. We (being Mikey and I) were at a company party, a dinner cruise on the Minneapolis Queen, coming up on the second set of locks by St. Anthony Falls. I remember that day very clearly because Mikey's post was the first I heard of it - just happened to be checking right after he posted - and I couldn't find *anything* about it on the news web sites. All hail the power of LiveJournal, or something.. *shrug*

I was at work (which often resembles a dark secluded basement), so his post was the first I heard of it to, and sent me to the cafeteria to watch the news on tv.

Tell me about it. Whenever I see/hear anything about the bridge, the first thing that pops into my head is "3 minutes". Because if I'd left work 3 minutes later I would have been ON the bridge. That still messes with my head.
