Title: Busy Businessman
Prompt: experimental: licking
Medium: Fic
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Kissing, licking, carpets.
Summary: Saito is too busy to even vacuum his carpet himself, and he wants to make it up to her.
Disclaimer: I do not own Inception, or any of its fancy characters. Damn.
Author's Note: This has to be one of the oddest things I've write, ever. However, since Saito/Carpet are simply OTP and my inceptionlulz friends seemed to want this, sooo. Here it is!
Dedication: To all my inceptionlulz buddies, but in particular, to  alifeofourown, riotact, and lovethisgeek in particular for being there when I decided to really get down to business (why yes, to defeat the Huns).

It had been a long day at work. Business meetings left and right, someone always needing something--something for him to sign, to affirm, to get his permission for anything from the light bulb shipment that just came in to a business transaction. It was so much work, and Saito wasn't getting any younger. He came into his home with aching everything--from his head down to his pinky toe, he felt like he could sleep for a week.

He looked down at the floor as he slipped off his shoes, smiling instantly. "Darling," he said, sitting down on the carpet, running his hands over her green, shaggy threads. He had had her vacuumed earlier that day, and while he usually liked to do it himself, he had been so busy lately he just hadn't had the time for her; his precious carpet. Now, though, after a long day of working hard, he could relax with the one thing he knew that would always be waiting for him to come home: his carpet.

He laid back, the length of his body in the gap between the chairs. "I'm sorry for being so busy, lately," he murmured, running his fingers mindlessly though some strands of thread, sighing lightly. "I haven't been able to be here for you. Let me make it up to you, okay?" He turned so his face was half buried in the carpet, breathing in her fresh scent, sighing all the tired out of him. He nuzzled her, smiling, remembering all the good times they had.

"I know how I'm gonna make it up to you, hun," he said, laying a soft, gentle kiss on her. He could feel himself awaken just a bit more, just being near her making everything click better in the world. Unbuttoning his jacket and shrugging it off, he leaned down and kissed her again, this time, letting his tongue dart out.

The reaction was instantaneous. There were fireworks at every part of his body. Sure, it was a bit fuzzy, but such was the nature of this relationship. He, up until he met his carpet, wasn't sure if an aging man like him would be able to feel that warm spark of love again; that fairy-tale feeling of getting that small rush whenever you saw the one you loved. But he knew, when he met carpet, this was exactly how things were supposed to be.

Sure, he knew it was weird, to be completely smitten with a carpet. At first, he had had real issues with it when he simply couldn't get the carpet out of his mind. It was even weirder when he had issues with other people walking on her, and when he was happiest when he was just lying with it, doing nothing. Of course, he had tried to squash these feelings, find a 'real' woman, but nothing was the same. No matter how hard he tried, nothing could compare to the chemistry he and the carpet had.

Smiling to himself, he rested his forehead on the carpet, licking again.

"I'm sorry," he whispered into the threads, burying his face in he carpet, and falling asleep; right where he wanted to be.
