So it's ok to bash skinny chicks and make shallow digs about anorexics and people who SI but not fat people. Apparently, it's alright to say ANYTHING you want about, and voice any opinion you want about anorexia and people who think thin chicks are hot ( Read more... )

That's indeed "funny"... >.>; Whenever you start saying that some people are too fat for their own good, this is considered as discriminiation... =_=; I mean, to be "too fat" or "too thin" is the same thing... That's NOT HEALTHY! POINT!

[sigh] I love the internet* too.

I think society believes it is ok to pay out on people who are underweight because despite that, it is still thought of as endearing to be underweight rather than overweight. and when you criticize fat people its not really considered fair game irrespective of the fact it concerns/offends you.

So it's ok to bash skinny chicks and make shallow digs about anorexics and people who SI but not fat people.Erm, not in my book. It pisses me off when feminism, which is meant to be supporting women and bringing down the structures that keep us fucked over, goes "Real women have curves..." as though women who aren't particularly curvy are somehow, I dunno, men or something. I also don't think it's okay for society and the world to fetishize a body shape that is unattainable for most people unless they use dangerous methods, and to throw everyone else into the "fat" category. It's not just fat people being given shit for being fat ( ... )

I don't think I've grasped your point entirely, but you are quite right that when criticizing anyone's size, there are two extremes, and both are unhealthy. One cant just attack people suffering from anorexia and label 'fat' as okay. Though sometimes the thing that is prompting them to either starve or over-eat can be similar. In the case of people that are just plain lazy and gluttonous, well, in the end they'll pay for that by getting heart disease and diabetes ( ... )

You are certainly right about that. All of that. I like it when people reply with stuff that I agree with on my journal.

Its been too long since we've spoken. We should catch up, can I call you tommorow? I will anyway I think, after my job training.
