I've been trying to beat my head against the horror that is a complete archive of a journal, including comments. I thought I had it last night, but I was quite wrong. Back to the drawing board ...

I was trying to archive all the posts from my journals too and shove them into one. Its impossible unless you do it manually, and bugger that.

Archiving the journal isn't actually a problem, it's getting the comments as well as the posts that's a problem. I'm now reasonably sure it can be done via the API, but it means more effort than I invested last night.
