Hey, don't beat yourself up. There's always going to be shit going on in our lives so the best thing you can do for yourself is to be gentle. You've been working like mad and studying and on top of that trying to exercise and stay fit. I'm not trying to give you an excuse to stop caring about any of your goals, just to realize that you've been working hard and that you shouldn't gang up on yourself. Don't fate yourself to failure by deciding you'll fail from the get go.
Was there a lot of math on the test? If it is lots of technical stuff, don't sweat it. A C isn't so bad (ask George B.), you have a good start. Just remain calm and do what you have to do to pass. The classes are just bullshit you need to get your degree. You'll get better once you get the hang of it. You've been liberal arts for most of your life so relax! If you can do nutrition and speak a few other languages, you shall be in demand.
*gives hugs*! You're getting to plenty of places! Maybe you're just moving ahead so quickly you need time to settle; it's not easy switching specialities in school!
College classes like that are seriously difficult. I wouldn't beat yourself up too much about it, in the end your gpa won't be what matters, it'll be your experience in the field. Since you've already mastered your personal nutrition (aside from the stress-eating, and who could blame you), as long as you have a basic understanding of the terminology and concepts, you will be good to go. And as with everything, I'm sure it'll get easier as you go along.
They are... x.x; This particular professor was a grammar nazi and her tests always involved essays in which I had to be very clear and concise in explaining very complicated processes. She took off points for misspelling.
When I look back on it, I'm shocked I even survived. It was a 4 hour night lecture directly after coming from another college where I had a 3 hour lab.
And I'm going to be okay. I work with eleven aging people with developmental disabilities and I have to guide them with their nutritional and medical needs as well as make sure they lead full and independent lives with not only development disability but additional issues like diabetes, osteoarthritis, and progressive dementia. It pays shit, but it's an amazing job and it's going to look really good when I apply for the MS in Nutrition.
School is just evil and can make you feel worthless sometimes. XD
Thanks for the comment <3 You must be so excited. Japan is nigh!
