Still no luck figuring out what's conflicting in my game, but I have at least cleaned out a bunch of stuff in the meantime- files that weren't unzipped correctly, genetic items I had more than one of, stuff I just plain didn't like after seeing it in-game, etc. The problems are still persisting though :C Mostly just random crashes, but sometimes I' ( Read more... )

You might want to use that picture and ask a question about it in thesims2. I've never had that problem, or at least not recently enough to remember having it, but maybe someone else there will have a solution.

Strangetown seems a little overdone, even though it's usually done well, and it and Veronaville both bore me unless I'm actually writing stories for them. I'd go with DDV just for the heck of it. (I oughta play around in there sometime and get a feel of how it should be written ...)

I'll take it up with them if the problem's still there after I take out downloads and clear caches and other stuff I can do myself. I'll keep that link in mind either way though. Thanks!

I wasn't planning on blogging it at all, but if people want to see it then I don't mind taking some pictures of my exploits in Desiderata o 3o However, I'd only be using maxis stuff >< It's been forever since I played without downloads though. It'll be interesting.

Also lol, I totally forgot about the second part of the post xD I'll add some stuff to it now.

Heh, I wouldn't mind seeing a game without downloads. Given my choices in CC, that shouldn't be hard to guess.

And since you added that stuff in, I've got more to comment on :3

Camera mods are great to use if you want to focus on the pictures you're getting in your game. I use Gunmod's camera hack (I don't know if that's the one you were linked to before, but I recommend it.) and it helps me get great pictures of just regular play, like in Sim Survivor, or for stories such as Our Lives. Plumbbobs ... I don't mind them when posts are in commentary form, like your work, but they look a little sloppy when they make it into stories, unexplained.

For an anti-pixellation hack, you can do a search at wcif_sims for one. I'm sure someone has asked there before, so I wouldn't make a new post asking for one until you've searched first ( ... )

Woo, I think I know what was wrong with my game. Hopefully. I think there were some patches missing. I know it's not my CC doing it though, because the problems lingered even with the downloads gone (check out what happened to this lady's hair! http://yfrog.com/i3snapshot143a80379922b2cj).

In other news, Desiderata Valley is really boring. Seriously. Maybe I just played the wrong couple of lots, but I wasn't too impressed :c. I didn't really take any good pictures while I was there, so I probably won't post any.

Awwh. Well, maybe it's more fun when you're trying to create a story involving all the Sims in the neighborhood. Even though the newer hoods are pretty boring, I think I've got something fun cooked up for DDV.

That could have been the problem, but if it continues you should look into posting a question at thesims2. But hopefully it is fixed!
