See, we're loosing fur and our main target for such thing is our humans clothes. Well, those loose hair are "PROB" which will register every thing and movements our humans did when away from us.
The sniffing them when they come back is to take back our hair to decrypt all the informations it took to know where they went, with who they were, what they ate and if they met with other cats yeah.
