The last day of freedom is quickly slipping through my fingertips.

:-O

So, the last couple of days have been very good. Friday, Chris and I went to Daytona and had dinner and went to Barnes and Noble because Chris wanted to buy The Da Vinci Code with his gift cards. He also bought me this! It has all seven books in one very large paperback book ( Read more... )

oooh books that are good! You'll have to tell me how he likes Da Vinci Code, I heard it was excellent. And once you read the series, you should go back and reread them in the /real/ order (evil publishers!) that they were written in:
LWW
Prince Caspian
Voyage
(then, I /think/)
Silver Chair
Magician's Nephew
The Last Battle

*cough* I'm a geek when it comes to those sort of things. . .but those are they way they originally were meant to be read. ^_~

And Yaaaaah Pride and Prejudice! *hugs it* I read it a bit ago and /loved/ it (have you seen the BBC version with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle? *swoon*), and now I get to read it again for my novel to WWII class. :D

happy reading! and good luck yourself!

I will certainly let you now how he likes Da Vinci Code... even though it may be awhile from now! He probably won't read it until Spring Break, but more than likely he'll wait until summer. :( He has difficulty fitting in pleasure reading at Stetson. The book does sound great from the synopsis he read to me! It's all mysterious and puzzely.. very cool ( ... )

Have yet to read Jane Eyre. . .but my roomie loved it. :) P&P is most excellent! I don't know what the hype is with the Austen fans (fun fact: my mom used to be a member of the Jane Austen society), but most people I know highly regard P&P, among all of her novels that is. And I /do/ love ToTC! But I hate most other Dickens. ^_ ( ... )

Ah, you must read Jane Eyre! I was almost certain I was going to hate it, especially since it was assigned for summer reading for my senior year. And it's pretty long so I was dreading it. But, it really is a great book. I loved the whole "love story" (I use quotations because it's kinda twisted) It's just so different from everything else old that I've read. It really got me into reading classics. It's probably why I have such an interest to read P&P ( ... )

Ah, I remeber those books. I remeber my teacher in sixth grade (pre Florida) making us all read a chapter a day. I can only remeber getting half way through the first book. Happy reading :>
