"Justice League" rant

Um... so yeah. I just watched "Starcrossed". I kinda missed the first half hour though. But, my question is, when the heck did Batman start raising rabid bats to let loose in his cave and attack bad guys? Kind of a O_o moment. And... I got scared when the lead Hawk dude took his ax thing and hit the Green Lantern's hand (ring) cause I thought he ( Read more... )

Spader is that guy who took Dylan McDermott's place on The Practice... he's kinda freaky...

Yes, Strong Bad is the greatest. :)

*tacklecling* YES TO JUSTICE LEAGUE!

Dude, is it not just, like. The best cartoon in the history of EVER? ^_^ There's not that much corniness, not when you compare it to other cartoons. And they make up for the lackofblood with VIOLENCE! They actually hit people in JL! With fists! *dork*
And yeah, I totally thought he chopped off GL's hand, too. o_o

...that's all I have to say. *g* I'm really glad you watched it. I hope JLU doesn't suck too terribly. ;_;

Yes, I totally agree. JL isn't as corny as most of the cartoons on TV, but it has its moments. Usually with lines, but I still love it. It's like watching a movie... with awesome animation. I love how JL and some of the other DC universe cartoons look. The animation is hardcore cool. Are there any JL comics? I'd really be interested in reading some!

JL comics? Hmm. There's 'Justice League Adventures', which is based on the animated universe, but it's a little silly at times and seems to be aimed at kids even more than the cartoon was. And there's 'JLA', which is like, the current, official book for the team. I think it has a few different team members. (and I'm not actually reading it at the moment... >_> Honestly, I'm more interested in JSA.) I mean, there are some pretty major differences between the animated universe and the comic 'verse. Like Hawkgirl...

*could go on and on about this for a very, very long time.*

JSA is... I'm drawing a blank for what it stands for.
JLA sounds interesting. I'm sure they are really different, but I don't think I'd mind too much. I'll have to investigate a little. Do you have the first part of "Starcrossed" by any chance? If you do, do you think you could send it to me? BitTornado doesn't like me lately... so slow!

Woo! Justice Leauge is awesome. Heh, it's actually something my boyfriend and I can agree to watch. It's taped when we can.

Ah, you're so lucky you and your boyfriend can watch it together. My boyfriend hates cartoons. >:( It sucks pretty bad when I've always had a thing for them. *sigh* Oh well. Can't win in every category, right?

*heehee* Jon loves Justice League, too. We both watched Starcrossed together and were totally upset that JL Unlimited seemed to be replacing JL.

My boyfriend hates cartoons.

Umm... all cartoons? *jawdrop* The trick is, get him to watch just a bit of it. Then see if you can get him hooked on it. Jon is pretty much an overgrown boy, so he loved the series right off. However, he tried this tactic on me, and now I'm in love with Cowboy Bebop. ;p

He's just not into the whole comic scene. Like he never had a thing for Batman or anything. He DID love X-Men comics when he was younger and he watched the old show religiously, but he wouldn't watch it now because Evolution is NOT as good as the original. Far from it actually. But yeah... he's just too grown up for me! And now that JL might now be around anymore, there is no way in heck I'd try to have him watch JLU... ugh. Can we say Teen Titans part 2? Sorry, as you can tell, I'm not digging the JLU idea.
