I know when I had orientation it sucked. You walk so much, and then not only that but I had to deal with other stuff, I had meetings with the financial aid people, I had to move in, running back and forth, then dealing with the cashiers office, its a lot of walking.
I dont get how people gain so much weight in college... your always walking!
From all the walking I do at work now (I work at the Bealls in town and our store is HUGE) and then walking all over the campus this semester, I'm gonna be so in shape from the waste down!
*huggles* Thank you so much for caring! I feel much more myself today especially since I slept like a rock last night. Now I can focus on getting and reading all of this week's comics... *g*
ooh! I sort of know where the Cove is! I have a few friends that go to school there, but I haven't visited in a while. I'm sure that you'll love it. The first few weeks at a new school are hectic-- lots of running around, getting lost, and settling into a schedule-- but you'll get used to it. And orientation does suck. However, you can get through it the same way I did-- being a transfer student you've heard most of this stuff before-- lots of "you're not in high school anymore," "college requires studying," and lectures on time management. Yuck.
Ooo yay! Someone knows what I'm talking about! Haha I'm expecting the first week or maybe more to not be too much fun so I don't think I'll be caught by surprise. Lucky for me, I never went to any of the orientations they offered mainly just because I didn't feel I needed to go. I mean, it's not like I haven't been in college before. It's just that I've never LIVED at college. I'm really excited about it though. I talked to my roommate today and she seems really nice so I hope I still think that after the first few months!
