Wow... that's a pretty action packed day. How devastating for your friends and disappointing about J. Divorce totally brings out the darkest parts in people that you never even thought were there. What a dick.

Happy Birthday (wish I could be at the party...damn it!)
Next, give Ben and Luna my love and hugs. There's energy about a quick recovery coming. Wish I could do more but with the extra load in my household right now, I'm swamped.
Finally, I wish we had sat down and talked during the early days of the j thing...I would have explained that changing all the locks and moving all the money was SO necessary to protect yourself. No, this isn't an "I told you so" but rather me kicking myself: the old "been there, done that" type of thing. I'm very hacked off at him for the spending.
One thing: keep ALL the financial receipts and be able to show the judge that he's spent the money on the cards. This will come into play when dividing up the assets/liabilities since he will "inherit" those cards he maxed out if you can prove he was the one who spent the money after the separation. This will be better for your own finances in the long run.
Tell me you're coming to the event in April. I really miss you.
I am very sorry about your marriage. I would not wish that on anyone. I do know that it is surviveable. It's been two years now and I continue to wonder how I've made it. Every time, my answer has been by grace and luck.
