much to my amazement and delight, i discovered this morning that i have lost 3 pounds! all i've really done is pay attention to what i'm eating, and how much...i've eliminated sweets, been sensible about portion sizes, and cut out the mindless grazing. my eating habits must've gotten really horrendous, if this is all it takes to get me back on

but yes, it's true: according to every chart i've seen, i'm 20-25 lbs above my ideal weight. i don't WANT to lose 20-25 lbs, because i think it would really age me (past a certain age, a bit of padding does wonders for plumping up laugh lines!) but i do think i could lose 10-15 lbs and look/feel better.

actually, i rationalized it by thinking, "well, i don't eat a lot in general, and what i do eat is healthy, so i can afford to eat these hershey's kisses, or these reeses cups, or these pecan sandies..."
i was wrong. :(
and last night i did eat a bit of ice cream. it was YUM!
