a question about the "g" word...

i noticed in everyone's responses to my last post that no one actually spelled out the word g-l-i-t-t-e-r...

and i don't know why.

I could be off base here, but I have the feeling that people who post about glitter on LJ fear that what they say will somehow get cross-posted? I have noticed a "shift" in glitter... I don't find it as supportive as I once hoped. People tend to tip-toe around because you run the risk of verbal attack if you hit a nerve. There is also the Bit-Glit thing....you run the risk of a small group of assholes secrectly posting (and laughing/trashing) things you try to share in good faith.(Sounds like High School,eh?) And then the snark goes on and on and on...

I wondered the same thing, but figured it was so you couldn't search the word glitter and come up with people's journals.
