Fucking HELL

We had a power outage, so of course my father had to mess around with unplugging things individually, rather than the whole thing at one master plug-in. Thus, when the power came back on, he didn't get everything plugged back in properly.

In doing so, he somehow fried my VCR/DVD recorder. As in, video-out on everything is screwedNot only does ( Read more... )

That can be arranged.
BUT I can't mail the disk out until Monday because I head for home Thursday before WAT and return to school Sat afternoon, so Monday is the first time the PO will be open after I return here to where I can copy the filed to disk and send it to you.

Hopefully it will be in Canada before Thursday so the Holiday in the US doesn't delay it more.
Sorry.

Biggest problem, is that it'll probably be more than just the one week, before I can afford to replace it.

Why couldn't he do this after the writers strike had truly taken effect? Why now, when there's still new eps?

Of all the bad things that can happen!

Is there at least still some kind of guarantee on the recorder?

If your connection is fast enough, I could at least provide you with a link so that you can watch until things are up and running again.

Um... no. Warranty ran out a while back. Which means, essentially, it's screwed. As am I.

And no, my connection's not that good. Not only is it not fast, but it tends to cut out on occasion. Not at all suitable for TV watching. *sigh*

*hugs back*

Thanks. Yeah, it's always an 'accident' when he does it, and someone's fault when it's his stuff.

How to use a surge protector: If the power has gone out, TURN THE SWITCH OFF WHEN UNPLUGGING, AND DO NOT TURN ON UNTIL ALL IS PLUGGED IN. Plus, the less you physically unplug, the better.
