Oh, I'm so relieved you like it! I was worried you wouldn't, I wasn't really sure what you wanted, so I just dove off the deep end and used my own stuff.
Not bad. I've seen quite a few USxUK AU's and this one managed to be pretty original. I don't think I've ever seen a fic universe where mages had to have warrior guardians as an end all, but you set up the requirements for being a licensed mage nicely. Also Alfred's characterization and back story (trained by Gilber, it figures, the Prussian always get's to be a tough guy depite his egotistical nature. lol)
Greene seems to be attempting to make friends at least, though Arthur's still another story. I'm sure that will change if they manage to complete their "impossible" mission though. Well onto part 2. :)
Thank you for your review! :) I've worked on this world and its rules for a good few years, so I hope it seems a little bit original. Although it's difficult to be original with high fantasy, since Tolkien it's all been done already.
I hope you'll continue to read and enjoy. And any advice you have is welcome. :)

Absolutely wonderful!
I'm really looking forward to the rest!
You have no idea how much gushing I have been doing over this story. <3
(I hope you can see this, because I'm adoring you as hard as I can.)

Like you don't even know.
And now I'm sitting here trying to type up the fic-junk littering my spirals like a crazy person, because I have to be productive.
I must return to making shiny story-things, because I am humbled by the awesome.
That, and now I have to occupy myself so I'm not just sitting on my phone waiting for moar on livejournal.
