I think the first votes to be counted were the early absentee votes which trended to Hillary... Its only at 15% right now and I think things will even up a bit as time goes on.

Since Hillary was ahead almost everywhere a few weeks its not much of a suprise. But I think it will be a lot more even as time goes on, and a split delagae count in california is going to be bad for Hillary. Ca is supposed to be her firewall state, if she ties that or if the results are close, thats bad for her. Good for Obama.

At a guess for part of the Bay Area: because she has been really emphasizing LGBT rights lately? I am still in my very cynical about politics stage and don't think there is that much of a difference anyways (I know many people feel very differently though) :/

Actually, a better way to state by Obama/Clinton outlook is that I would be happy with either being president and I want the rest of America to choose which of them they will actually vote into office and then follow through. My confusion lies with the states who are voting majority Huckabee. Seriously people, you really think that guy should be the head of the country, really?

No kidding. Hucklebee scares me. But MN voted for Romney. ROMNEY!? I don't get that either.

The first part of your statement is very optimistic though!

Yeah - I decided to post the addendum since I don't have quite as negative of an outlook as my first post made it seem. I really think they both have a shot nationally, albeit with slightly different demographics.

Also - the SF Chronicle answers your question:

Touché!

However you are talking to someone who lives in Minnesota - we had Jesse "The Body" Ventura for four years. However in my own defense, I did not live here then!

I sometimes wonder if a large percentage of people in this country vote based on whose company they'd most enjoy a beer with, or something else that makes no sense.

Name recognition, fear of change perhaps. I can't believe if Clinton wins the presidency we will have had 20 years of Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clintons. Bah.
