I've heard a lot of good things about The King's Speech. I want to see it, but my budget and lack of babysitter are forcing me to wait until I can netflix it. At least then I can clearplay it too and not feel guilty about watching an R movie. ;)

It's only rated R for language but I think it is appropriate and would take away from the movie to cut it. It's nothing worse than our kids hear at the cafeteria every day and, in this case, it adds to the story. They do it in kind of a sweet and endearing way that adds to the character development and strengthens the point they are making about the MC.

We loved TKS for all the reasons you listed :) I can't remember the last time I was so moved by a movie. DH saw TG, and although he liked it, he said it wasn't anywhere near TKS. I like Jeff Bridges, and he often gets Oscar attention, so it'll be interesting to see what the voters go for -- but regardless of what they say, TKS will always be on of the best movies ever for me ;)

I remember seeing on Facebook how much you loved TKS while we were driving to the theater. I wondered if I'd like it as much. I SO did! TG was really good, too, though. I hope TKS takes the oscars this year, but, really the other movie was very good as well--just not quite as good.

It will be one of the best movies ever for me, too. :)
