I am wondering exactly how much emotional trauma one human being can handle in a two year span of time before being shipped off on a one way trip to crazy town?
Everything is ok...just trying to figure out how to approach Madeline about it. Geoff suffered a stroke yesterday. From what I have to go on so far, he is OK and his personality is still in tact but he's having difficulty with his right side. His face is slightly skewed, he has use in his arm and leg but he has difficulty bending over and walking and he can't use his right hand? I will post more when I know more. *hugs* thank you.
He is doing much, much better. Today, he ate solid foods--all of them. And mine.
He is able to get up off the bed and stand without someone holding him. He is threating to pinch the nurse on the butt and wants to know if I will bring a Cheerleader back to the Hospital with me. "For headstands".
He is retaining strength in his hand.
At his PT appointment this afternoon, he got out of bed, made the nurse laugh and then walked across the room, out the door, a few steps down the hall and then back. He sat down by himself and got into the bed by himself... and then, true to form was upset with himself for not doing more.
The nurse has recommended him for inpatient therapy-three hours a day-because he is about four months ahead of the game.
YAYYYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!! Full recovery waiting to happen.
