Well, maybe not fully dead and gone, but it has been a while, eh?
jewles in a very poltie "WTF" manner last night mentioned that I have disappeared off the LJ planet...and I have been meaning to update for awhile, so

Wow. Some of your classes sound really good! I can't believe you get to write about Six Feet Under and Buffy for some of your classes! So awesome.
I am so sorry about your HS assistant principal. It does seem really unfair that the school won't even allow a tree to acknowledge his life.
Oh yay! Haha. I feel special to be mentioned. And I'm so happy you are enjoying the show! I still haven't made up my mind about Studio 60. I mostly like it but don't know if I'll keep watching.
I'm glad you felt special ;-) I know what you mean about Studio 60; last week's I felt was finally classic Sorkin, but something about the show still bugs me. I think it's because Studio 60, in and of itself (with the exception of Meet the Press w/ Juliette Lewis) is just not that funny.
Yeah, I've had a general blast this year with classes. I'm super stoked about my papers; the Six Feet Under one is going to be a masculine gender critique that may very well be all about David, although I really want to write about Keith & Nathaniel too (is it weird that the dead guy intrigues me that much?) And the Buffy one is either going to be about redemption or alternative kinships - maybe both if I can find a good link. I'll keep you posted.
I actually missed the last week's episode. I've seen episodes 1, 2, and 4. I don't know if the thing off about it is the actual show, or how it is so similar to Sports Night expect for being just a tiny bit worse, or what. But we'll see what happens.
YAY for having blasts. Hehe. I can just tell that the Six Feet Under paper is going to be amazing. It is a fascinating topic. You could definitely write the huge thing on David. But including the others would also be super interesting. Regardless, have fun and good luck. (And, by the way, I don't think that being intrigued by Nathaniel is weird just because he is dead. He was a very interesting character! And his affect - both well alive and in death - on everyone has been profound and complicated.)
I think both ideas would be interesting to explore for Buffy. Good luck with that paper too!
