The powers that be at DragonCon issued a statement that can be found here
The long and the short of it is that they have entered in to an agreement with the host hotels to limit access to only individuals with con badges or hotel keycards after a specific time each day.
Makes me happy, but I'd also suggest that con goers get lanyards for their badges ( Read more... ) -
Dragoncon update
The blinkies are a no go.
the company that supplied the blinkies can suck my fat Irish ass, they can. They're the only on line supplier and they know it.
I'm going to stop by House of Chuckles and see what Tracy has for fun stuff and blinkies

If I can get the pieces in, I'll cannibalize Ratman for a satyr costume (need to stop by House of Chuckles to take a look at the hooves and leggings - I'll have to alter the leggings)
My Fairy GodFather will be joining me as soon as my fedora and another tommy gun comes in

Interesting
I have customers who are appologetic when calling in on days like Christmas, who expect us to be open on the 4th of July, but are horrified that we DARE to do business on july 24th (founders day, for those of you not in Utah) or during the LDS Conference.
Not saying anything, just making an observation

FYI: Both American and Delta recently put up a fare sale for Labor Day weekend flights. No idea how long it will last or if more carriers have jumped on too.
But the flights I was looking at dropped about $20 for Fri-Mon and $35 for Fri-Tues.

He said the Republicans need to organize and pull together just as unions, environmentalists, personal injury lawyers and gay rights activists do for Democrat candidates.
"Gays and lesbians don't pay tithing, their religion is politics," said Hatch.
