*shudders* I don't know if I could deal with big cockroaches. In DC we don't have those (thank goodness!!), not even spiders really - we get mice. Yes, they're still vectors of disease and they tend to poop a lot - but, well, they're mammals, they're furry, and they're cute. And by now I've come to accept seeing one gallop up and down the hall like he owns the damn place until we seduce him with cheese or peanut butter into the mousetrap.

I like to play this little game with them. In the living room, the couch is on one wall of the room, and the big tv and its stand etc are on the opposite wall. The mice run back behind there occasionally. Now, to get OUT from behind the TV, they have to venture out across a foot and a half of bare wall before skooting around it into the hallway. So I'll be sitting there, watching tv, and there he comes, sneaking out across that wall. Then - BAM! I slam my fist on the coffee table, and the little fucker jumps straight up in the air nearly half a foot and shoots back behind the tv. It's hilarious.

Haha, see that sounds amusing. I would much rather have mice. Granted, they do probably carry disease and you still have to find a way to get rid of them. But I would take them over cockroaches any day. Maybe I should move to DC.

After the ginormous flying cockroaches of India, the New York ones do not bother me nearly as much. Don't worry, once we're living together, you can just yell for me and I'll do my best to take care of it! :)

Sounds good to me. Hey, do you want to start off by taking care of the one that's still trapped under a tupperware in my room as we speak? I was going to lure Andrew over here tonight and have him take care of it, but he had a work event he had to go to. I'm sleeping on the couch again.
