Exciting news. Yesterday I joined Actors' Equity (the actors' union). I was wavering on it a bit, because I have been told time and time again to hold off on joining Equity for as long as possible, because once you get your equity card you can no longer do non-equity shows. But in order to understudy a mainstage show this summer I had to join,

Wow, looks like you have tons of great opportunities heaeded your way. Does the union work for only stage ot does it also deal with film?

SAG is the film union, but once you join one it's easier to join the others.
