Yeah, Christmas was pretty awesome :3 my brother and his kids came up on Christmas Eve, then on Christmas Day we opened presents and watched tv and played on the Xbox and ate really tasty food, courtesy of my stepdad, Mike. There was no turkey because nobody really likes it. Instead, we had pork roast, mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, brussells sprouts, cabbage, pigs-in-blankets* and honey-glazed carrots and parsnips. We also had some truly amazing Yule log.

[* Pigs in blankets. The pig is sausage... and the blanket is bacon... which is also pig... THE PIGS ARE IN PIG BLANKETS WTF?! Phagocytic cannibalism o.O]

Then on Boxing Day garethness came up and we had our own second Christmas and opened each others' presents :) I made my epic potato salad and everyone loved it, yay! Then we all watched the new Star Trek movie, which was very enertaining.

Yesterday, G and I went to see Avatar. It really is a stunning film. Visually, I've never seen anything like it, and the storyline is heartbreaking. I cried quite a bit.We wanted to see it at an IMAX theatre but it was all sold out so we saw it in 3D with the glasses and stuff, it was still awesome. After we got home, my family and I all got rather stoned and very drunk on homemade cocktails, we played some silly games and giggled and stuff and it was all brilliant :D

This morning, I have a heavy head and a sore throat. Totally worth it, though.

pictures, christmas, family
