I'll take that dust and rum! I'm enjoying this story and can't wait to see where you're heading with it (and I like the characterizations of my favorite POTC characters).

I'm glad you like them. I find them easier to work with than the Pan characters because they are in the "now" as far as the films are concerned- as in we're between installments. And I'm a pretty visual person so film is just easier to absorb. The challenge with the Peter Pan characters is that I have to do a lot of character building because time for everyone, but Peter, has passed.

Beautifully written, and I'm dying to find out what happens next. I liked that Elizabeth was having trouble with her hard work; she is (was) a proper lady and probably hasn't gotten too many calluses yet.

Hi! :)

She would already have some on her palms from learning how to sword fight (even though I never got any), but it would be nothing like working on a ship everyday. I don't see Barbossa ltreating her so well after tricking him and turning pirate.

*calculates* Considering that the time between CotBP and their wedding day couldn't have been more than a year or two, most likely she's still soft-handed.

It's only been about a year's time in canon. You can actually build up calluses in a few months, but that's if you practice a lot. Elizabeth does seem somewhat capable with a sword, but definately not on the level of Jack or Will. Most pirates wouldn't have any training, so she does have an advantage there.

Oooooh, what a perfect idea for a crossover! And two of my favourite universes, too - such a crush I used to have on Peter Pan. :)
